Your hosts in India:
Jenny Tumas has been teaching yoga since 2001. Originally from California, she lives in far northern Wisconsin near the shores of Lake Superior. Her style of yoga teaching is based on the individual student, and blends elements of Ashtanga, Vinyasa and Restorative yoga traditions. She owned a studio, Marigold Yoga, for nearly ten years, where she taught classes and led several yoga teacher training programs. She teaches group and private yoga classes locally, and travels to teach Sanskrit weekend immersions. She began studying Sanskrit in 2011, and in 2016 she completed the American Sanskrit Institute’s teaching apprentice program. She loves bringing the profound vibrational quality of Sanskrit into her meditation practice, chanting it, and studying it. She enjoys sharing it with others, and helping them learn through an empowering and freeing method developed by ASI founder Vyaas Houston, based on the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali.
